New revenue needs a public purpose.

Measure B gives Perris significant new resources. Lupe believes residents should be able to see where those resources go, which needs they address, and whether the spending delivers results. She has called for revenue to be designated for specific expenditures rather than disappearing into the general fund.

“Normally a fiscal emergency means you put a pause to certain expenditures in the city because they're not necessary.”

Tell residents. Show the work. Publish the results.
